Metal clay consists of very small particles of pure metal such as silver, gold, bronze, copper, or steel mixed with an organic binder and water. The metal is shaped and manipulated prior to being fired in a kiln where the binder burns off
We use recycled copper to create wire for our jewelry.
Inspired by a photo of a horned owl by Shirley Walsh, Shirley’s Messey Garden, Cartwright (winter 2014). The original was sculpted in copper and bronze clay and later cast in pewter.
